Hi Debbie, Thanks for your comments! I appreciate your situation but I do not know why you are experiencing trouble with insurance. We have never had any trouble insuring any home. Please contact me directly and I will put you in contact with our insurance broker who will take care of things at a reasonable cost.

Hi, My husband & I built a log home in 2008 & moved-in in 2009. We had no trouble with insurance at first but today our insurance broker has decided to not provide home replacement guarantee but will insure based on value insured for less depreciation. (along as we haven’t over or under insured). We have never had a claim. I see your log home myths was posted in 2007; has log home insurance changed in your area as well?

Just wanted to thank you again for all your help in making our new home a reality! We are absolutely thrilled with what you and your team have built for us. And as we complete each finishing detail inside, it just keeps getting better and better.

Your patience and guidance along the way helped to ensure we built what we wanted AND what we needed. All of the crew members were great but we have to give special thanks to Greg and Jessie. Those two guys are simply amazing with their skill, knowledge – and most importantly, their can-do attitude. They were very accommodating and easy to work with, and it even showed in how they worked with other crew members, always with patient attention to detail.

To other readers of this post … we highly recommend K &T Log Homes: Good people with a passion for what they do. A great team supporting a great product … What more can you ask?

We have a 28′ x 32′ design similar to your request, I will send it to you shorlty. I expect design adjustments to suit your needs or desires would be easily done. It already contains a utility room on the main floor which you will need having no basement. Let me know your thoughts & I will be pleased to follow up with a weather-tight shell quotation.

I would like information (approx cost) on a weather tight shell, about 28 by 36 with loft, no basement, one bedroom, or (one bedroom & den,) bath, open concept which will enable a masonary (Finnish) wood fireplace as main heat, stairs to open loft. Verandah on long side.

dear sirs i am looking for a log home company that can provide a turn key house from groundworks to handing me the keys in haliburton. I am looking for a log or timberframe house with about 3,500 sqft on a walkout basement. master and 2 bedrooms on a 1.5 storey house with a prow great room and balconies on the second and third bedrooms facing the water. can you help?
