Hi Debbie, Thanks for your comments! I appreciate your situation but I do not know why you are experiencing trouble with insurance. We have never had any trouble insuring any home. Please contact me directly and I will put you in contact with our insurance broker who will take care of things at a reasonable cost.

Hi, My husband & I built a log home in 2008 & moved-in in 2009. We had no trouble with insurance at first but today our insurance broker has decided to not provide home replacement guarantee but will insure based on value insured for less depreciation. (along as we haven’t over or under insured). We have never had a claim. I see your log home myths was posted in 2007; has log home insurance changed in your area as well?

Thanks for telling me your website was up, Paul! I’m so proud of your and Tack’s work!! I’ve read the text and found it clear and learned a lot. What wonderful work you are doing; in tune with Nature, truly sustainable, part of Canadian (and US) history, health-promoting, and the craftsmanship is shown clearly in every photo! The only problem I had was how the square-footage is calculated (my usual width times length didn’t add up properly with the figure given).I need a lesson…!
